How You Can Get Involved with Redistricting

The Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission is redrawing the legislative maps for Michigan State Senate Districts 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, and 11. And they need you to weigh in on the process. Join a meeting.

  • Tuesday, April 23 – Draw Senate Maps from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Why Maps Matter

Legislative district maps play a large role in determining who represents us in Lansing and Washington, D.C. For too long, elected officials themselves were in charge of drawing our maps and they drew them to protect their own self-interests at the expense of our diverse communities. The new redistricting process is citizen-led, transparent, and ensure our communities’ voices are heard.
